I promise that this isn't turning into a blog about VHS tapes. Not completely, at least. I’ve posted about VHS tapes a few times already here, here, and here. In short, I’ve always been fascinated with the box art ... I feel like it has all kinds of new and interesting things to discover. This post is about those tiny little distributor logos that you can find on the back and spine of the box.

I was a little surprised to find out that there have been over 2,000 different movie distribution companies since the late 70s. Most of the heavy hitters are still around, but a lot of them are long out of business. I’ve managed to dig up a few of my favorite logos, as well as some new ones that I discovered while writing this post. After seeing them all together, I don't think it's a stretch to say that this could have been the Dribbble popular page about 5-6 years ago.
